We are a professional and well-established pet care company looking for a FULL-TIME team member to fill a dog walking/pet sitting position for the Guilford area.
The position is 5 days a week, with rotating days off, allowing for great flexibility.
We provide on-the-job training and continued support and mentorship, as well as professional development opportunities.
MUST BE EXPERIENCED AND COMFORTABLE WITH LARGE-BREED DOGS.
Requirements:
LOVE both dogs and cats Have experience with dogs and their behavior (your own pets count!) Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large or require assistance Be professional, neat and tidy in clients' homes Be able to work independently and take initiative Have a smartphone and be tech-savvy Have excellent communication skills & grammar Own a reliable vehicle with valid license, registration & insurance; have a willingness to transport dogs in said vehicle; Be local to the community.
You must live in Guilford or a neighboring town.
Be Pet CPR/First-Aid certified or willing to take a class Be able and willing to work with us for at least a year.
The pets & clients will want to develop a long-term relationship with you.
Be available on rotation to dog walk/pet sit on holidays, as needed Pass a criminal / background check
Responsibilities:
Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being Provide basic care for dogs and cats, including feeding and watering (medication administration experience is a plus) Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report to the supervisor or owner Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care and behavior Maintain a safe and secure environment for both the dogs and yourself during walks Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions they may have This is a fun and rewarding job with a great company!! YOU MUST LIVE LOCAL TO THE TOWN(S) WHERE JOB IS LOCATED as it requires travel between visits.
Candidates must be willing and able to drive and work in all types of weather.
Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work year-round.
Must be comfortable interacting with customers, entering customers' homes and handling alarm systems.
