We have boarded specialists in Critical Care, Surgery, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Avian and Exotics, Neurology, and Radiology.
Our clinicians and technicians collaborate daily to ensure that patients get the best care possible.
We are searching for Anesthesia technicians to join our growing surgical department.
You would have the opportunity to work with and learn from a board-certified Anesthesiologist, and a very experienced surgical team.
The individuals in the surgical department work very well together and try to have fun while doing so! Are you looking to pursue a VTS in anesthesia? Central Hospital offers bonuses to employees who successfully pass their CVT or VTS and have been staff members for 6 months or greater.
Requirements:
2 years or more of anesthetic experience preferred.
Must be a CVT or CVT eligible Can lift and restrain up to 40lbs
Responsibilities:
Have general knowledge of the anesthesia machine parts and functions, as well as how to troubleshoot problems with the machine.
Monitor patients under anesthesia and communicate during the procedure on patient status.
Ability to maintain aseptic technique for every procedure.
Develop the ability to formulate an anesthetic plan and troubleshoot anesthetic complications.
Develop the ability to perform advanced techniques such as epidurals, local blocks, multi-lumen catheter placements, arterial catheters, etc.
Develop the ability to use the anesthetic ventilator safely, as well as knowing when it is appropriate to use it.
Develop the ability to administer various transfusions (pRBC, FFP, albumin, etc) Ability to use a multi-parameter monitor and trouble shoot issues.
Develop the ability to take quality orthopedic and soft tissue radiographs.
Maintain a thorough anesthetic record for each patient.
Develop knowledge of the surgical procedure being performed as well as complications that may arise.
Be able to communicate and round the ICU staff for optimum post operative care.
