The overall purpose of Direct Support Professionals at SARAH Tuxis are to support individuals receiving services from SARAH Tuxis to live the fullest and richest life that they choose. Direct Support Professionals must advocate for the individuals that we support by encouraging them to share their wants, needs and desires. Must have a willingness to accept direction from the individuals who receive service. Daily necessary quality documentation of the process, progress and achievement of personal outcomes must be completed. Expected to assist individuals in exploring activities in their communities. Must be proactive regarding matters of health and safety and assure that any issue that may arise is responded to in a timely and responsible fashion. Must complete all necessary documentation regarding medical, behavioral, dietary, and therapeutic supports. Must assure that personal care needs of the individuals are met. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Employees are expected to complete all In-Service Trainings as required by DDS and SARAH Tuxis. Must be able to obtain CPR, First Aid and State Medication Administration Certificate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
