E Commerce Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:
The Ecommerce Business Development Manager (EBDM) will report to the Director of Customer Service and work closely with the operations team, and national support team to perform business development, sales, and account management activities for key ecommerce customers and prospects.
The EBDM will be responsible for managing all online product listings and adding new listings. Monitor competition while protecting The Safety Zone brand all while maintaining accurate keywords, product images and attributes to optimize product rankings.
The EBDM will focus on customers in the ecommerce vertical, but will also perform sales activities with key customers as needed. The EBDM will be a full time position, and will work out of The Safety Zone Headquarters in Guilford, CT.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage ecommerce customers such as Amazon, Walmart.com, Jet.com and other like customers so our items are current their portals.
Manage pricing in order to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Monitor our competition ecommerce sales and position to profitably get the Buy Box.
Use analytics to monitor ongoing customer profitability and process accuracy to achieve forecasted goals.
Work with SPR's operations team to ensure compliance with relevant transactional metrics impacting key customer relationships.
Identify trends, opportunities, or issues that could have an impact revenue or profitability with key customers.
This position may require modest travel of approximately 15% for customer visits, trade shows and training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Four year college degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, business development, or sales in an ecommerce setting.
Language Ability:
Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Understanding of basic algebra. Able to use Excel on a high level utilizing functions such as Vlookup, IF Statement, Pivot Tables, Slicing and Statistics
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize.
Computer Skills:
PC proficiency, including Excel, and Word software and e-mail. Ability to obtain, manipulate, organize, and present data effectively is key to success in this position. Able to use Excel on a high level utilizing functions such as Vlookup, IF Statement, Pivot Tables, Slicing and Statistics

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
